I vividly remember the first time I ever laid eyes on a Grace Loves Lace dress; it was at a friend’s wedding, and, in fact, this image of my friend in the iconic Hollie dress has been beautifully engrained in my mind ever since due to the individuality of the gown's design. This dress was the most unique wedding gown I had ever seen, and through the evening, I watched in awe as the stunning bride floated so comfortably as she threaded in and out of crowds of guests and effortlessly danced until the very end of the night.
It was 2015, and I knew of Grace Loves Lace due to the fact that I was newly engaged and searching for my own wedding dress. When looking for my own wedding dress, Pinterest was still quite a new aide to wedding planning. It was established enough to be a great tool for dress searching and, at this time, was dominated with images of one dress - Grace Loves Lace Hollie.
As Brides magazine quite rightly said “You know a brand has reached cult status when a dress receives more than 2.5 million re-pins on Pinterest!” This was where this new Australian wedding dress designer really grew to be a worldwide leader in wedding dress design and the e-commerce only model, which, in bridal, was unheard of at the time. It meant that brides all over the world could get their hands on their dream Grace dress.
Grace Loves Lace was created in 2011 by Megan Ziems. Megan wanted to create designs with comfort and style, all with effortless luxury and quality at the forefront. The head office and production facility is based in Burleigh Heads, Australia, a creative hub south of the Gold Coast on the Queensland border. From meeting the staff at Grace Loves Lace, it is clear that they all share the same passion and vision for the brand that Megan has.

It is the uniqueness that really drew me to the Grace Loves Lace designs, and I believe it is what has made them take the world by storm. In a world of over-production, which, in my opinion, has resulted in too many similarities in the industry, Grace Loves Lace offers a refreshing approach to bridal, not only because of the unique designs and exclusive laces, but the ethical and sustainable practices. It’s these practices, such as using GRS (Global Recycled Standard) fabrics that have been developed using 97% recycled materials, as well as their ‘make what you need’ approach to manufacturing adopted by the brand and are at the heart of what they do and how they do it.
Fast forward 9 years, from the very moment I laid eyes on the iconic design, Hollie, a very intriguing email from the one and only Grace Loves Lace themselves pops into my inbox one Monday morning. This is where the relationship between The White Collection and Grace Loves Lace began. From there, we have travelled to their New York and London showrooms to collate our Grace Loves Lace collection, and we have now finally welcomed the gowns into our stores.
