Joanne and her husband tied the knot at St Luke’s & The Winged Ox in September. Our Glasgow team loved helping her find the gorgeous Duarte by Rosa Clara!
Tell us a bit about your day!
We had the most perfect day at St Luke's- a venue we chose because it already means so much to us as we frequently go for gigs or meals. And so, we leaned into the music theme with our decor- gig time sheets as orders of service, tables named after bands and a guitar case for gifts. We had an incredible band- Three Card Trick- and all of our guests were up for a great time. The whole day, the love and joy was palpable.
How did you end up finding 'the one'?
I had gone in with an idea that I would have a fitted, long-sleeved Boho style dress, but Katie knew me better than I did! She kept back Duarte till just the right moment and I instantly fell in love.
What did you love about being a The White Collection bride?
All of the team made me feel incredibly special and that they were genuinely excited to be part of my special day. Having my mum and mother-in-law in our private suite was perfect. I've never seen a nicer set-up! Katie was always just an email away if I had any questions.
Did you have bridesmaids? How did you involve them in the wedding and how did you decide on their wedding wardrobe?
I had one bridesmaid, my sister-in-law, and we wanted her to be as comfortable as possible. We chose navy for her as it matched our colour scheme, and she was thrilled because blue is her favourite colour!
What was your favourite part of the day?
It's really hard to pinpoint one moment since I loved every minute, but walking down the aisle was very special. Initially, I had been really nervous about being the centre of attention for a large number of people, but I barely noticed them- I only had eyes for my soon-to-be husband. We were both overcome with emotion and it was a moment I will never forget.

St Luke's & The Winged Ox - our whole day was there and they covered everything exceptionally well. The entire day was incredibly organised and we were always taken care of. They did everything they could to make sure we had the perfect day. Cannot recommend that place enough.
Pearl and Plum Photography - we are both quite awkward in photos, but our photographers put us at ease and they captured the day beautifully.
Sam Conroy - our celebrant and a true friend. Her ceremony was beautiful and personal to us, and she guided us through some really tough times in the run-up to the ceremony. She went above and beyond.
Rebecca Campbell Hair and Bridal - not only did Rebecca do a beautiful hairstyle that lasted all day, but she was so kind, friendly and excited about being part of our day that she made the wedding morning particularly special.
