Tell us a bit about your day!

“We got married in Edinburgh, full of tartan, bagpipes and ceilidh dancing. We had a black tie wedding, and I walked down the aisle to a string quartet playing Taylor Swift, which was a dream of mine. The sun was shining and we had all our photos outside with guests enjoying their drinks in the gardens of the castle. We were brought into dinner to the backdrop of bagpipes, my where dad, maid of honour, best man and (now) husband made speeches. They were full of funny stories and happy memories. Following our wedding breakfast, we got straight into cake cutting, first dance and then the ceilidh! It was such great fun seeing everyone dancing with each other and enjoying themselves. We ended the evening with a DJ. It was such a memorable day, and we are so blessed we had so many family and friends there to celebrate with us.”

How did you end up finding 'the one'?

“I had a few ideas of what I wanted, but upon trying them on in the shop none quite hit the mark. It wasn’t until Stef and Nicola suggested I try one on that I found the one! Initially when they showed me their suggestion I wasn’t sure, but once I put it on I knew instantly that it was the right one and I loved it! They even helped me visualise the full look by suggesting veils and accessories which was so exciting seeing a potential look come together!”

What did you love about being a bride of The White Collection?

“I loved the end to end experience. From setting foot in the gorgeous store (and trying on room), I felt like the whole process of choosing a dress was made so special. I was given such great advice from Stef and Nicola, who helped me pick out my dress. We felt so welcomed in, and it made it a truly magical day saying yes to the dress! Even upon collection, Stef made the day feel so special and treated us with such care and kindness. It was such a lovely experience, when it can be quite daunting!”

Did you have bridesmaids? How did you involve them in the wedding and how did you decide on their wedding wardrobe?

“I had 4 bridesmaids. I knew early on I wanted them to be black, as we had a black tie wedding and I thought it looked really classy. They were there with me from the start at 6am, getting ready, all the way through to the end. I was so glad I had them to celebrate with, they made sure I always had a drink and that everyone was having a great time.”

What was your favourite part of the day?

“Definitely the ceilidh! It was so fun after the formalities to let our hair down, everyone got involved and the pictures are great!”

“Nicola and Stef were extremely welcoming and friendly during my visit. They helped me pick out dresses which I wouldn’t have originally chosen and one of these that Nicola and Stef picked for me was the one I said yes to! Couldn’t recommend them enough!”
