It may seem slightly odd that we have put together a gift guide for a bride to be- it is very specific after all! However, if you do know anyone who is a bride to be and you are struggling to think of what to get her for Christmas or she has a birthday coming up, or you just want to get the perfect engagement gift then this guide should give you some ideas on gifts that are SO relevant to her right now, something you know she will use, or that is that little bit special that you wont have the chance to gift her something like that again.
When putting together this gift guide, I had a think about gifts I have given before when friends have recently been engaged. My go to gift is the Connoisseurs ‘Diamond Dazzle Stik’ which I came across a couple of years ago when I got my own engagement ring cleaned at the jewellers. While there, I asked the jeweller some advice on keeping my ring sparkly at home and they suggested this clever little stick and I have used it ever since. It is so easy and quick to use and it’s such a good gift to give as every newly engaged bride to be is obsessed with how sparkly her ring is and I’m sure is keen to keep it that way!
The next gift idea is something to get the bride to be excited about what is to come- a little hamper of hen do goodies. I love these pink and rose gold hen do accessories and matching ‘guest book’ by Ginger Ray. They are available from Pop Cloud Party who have always been our go to for any party accessories or kitting out the boutique if we are running an event. I love the idea of adding the ‘bride to be’ confetti to the inside a card or wrapping of a present to add that extra reminder of what’s to come!
Another great gift that could be given as a joint gift for a newly engaged couple is an engagement shoot to capture some lovely photos before their big day. This is something that a lot off people like the thought of but wouldn’t treat themselves to, so it really is a perfect gift. The best thing to do is to have a really good look at the photographers portfolio of pictures first to suit the couples style. For an engagement shoot, I would recommend someone who captures very natural style shots and candid moments, and for someone who may not feel too confident in front of the camera, a photographer who is perfect at capturing those moments without even really noticing that they had! Our go to photographer for a shoot like this, has to be Sally Cave Photography- just have a look at her website and you will see why.
A lovely sentimental gift is something personalised- I love this bauble gift idea for Christmas which you can personalise with ‘First Christmas as Mr and Mrs…’ This one from @ribbonsrosescraft is beautiful
Skin care and haircare are such great gifts to give a bride to be. Keeping her hair and skin in the best condition in the months running up to the big day is going to be a priority so a beauty gift set will be gratefully received! Even better, a travel sized gift set that can be taken on honeymoon or to the wedding venue is a great gift idea. We asked the team at Robert John hair and beauty what their go to travel gift sets are for a bride to be and they recommended this hair care travel bag by Moroccan oil and Guinot skincare gift set.
And obviously were not going to put together a gift guide without including a voucher for The White Collection! This is such a lovely way to contribute to the brides special day and she can use the voucher for accessories like hair vines or veils, she could put it towards her dress, or even use it for the cleaning of her wedding dress! Vouchers come in amounts of £25
