How stunning was Lauren’s wedding in the Klaserie Game Reserve in South Africa? She found the gorgeous Austin by Made With Love dress in our Glasgow store, and looked truly beautiful on her big day!

Tell us a bit about your day!

I had a weekend long celebration in the South African bush. My Scottish family came all the way over and we celebrated with the wild animals. Plenty of safari game drives, champagne, kilts — we even had a bagpiper pipe the way to the dam where there was hippos waiting for us.

How did you end up finding 'the one'?

I had absolutely no idea what I would end up choosing except that I wanted it to be classic. I was really open to suggestions but as they say, as soon as I put this dress on .... I knew it was the one. It spoke straight to my soul.

What did you love about being a The White Collection bride?

I loved the whole "journey". Sometimes I hate using the word journey but the whole process for entering through the big wooden door in the city that stole my heart at university, the wonderful staff, the fluffy carpets, the dresses, the follow up and email after the big day just made me feel like I was part of something bigger.

Did you have bridesmaids? How did you involve them in the wedding and how did you decide on their wedding wardrobe?

I had three bridesmaids and a flower girl and I went with an autumnal palette of sage, orange, gold and pink. I let each bridesmaid choose their own style and dress ... I wanted them to feel sexy and amazing on the day in something that they loved. For some of them, it was the first time ever in South Africa so they arrived a week early so we could spend time together, drink champagne and prepare for the big event.

What was your favourite part of the day?

Seeing the blend of Scotland and South Africa come together so seamlessly in my favourite place in the world ... the bush!
