Gayla was stunning on her wedding day at the Brig O’Doon in December! She wore House of Savin Inez with customised detachable overskirt, which she chose with the help of our Glasgow team.
Tell us a bit about your day!
We got married at Brig o’ Doon in December and had the most perfect day. It was everything we dreamed of and more!
How did you end up finding 'the one'?
Kirsty at the Glasgow store was absolutely amazing. I had visited in the summer but hadn’t been successful at the time; however, Kirsty kept my details and contacted me when a new collection arrived that she knew I’d love and she was absolutely right. She seemed to know my style better than I did myself. Her kind, calming nature and patience made the whole experience so enjoyable. I truly had the loveliest experience because of Kirsty.
What did you love about being a The White Collection bride?
I loved the whole experience but the private dressing rooms were a lovely feature of the store. A lot of other bridal shops are very exposing, especially if there are several other brides in at the same time. I thought the service in The White Collection was so much more personal than my previous experiences. I also loved that I could look through the dresses and pick my favourites.
Did you have bridesmaids? How did you involve them in the wedding and how did you decide on their wedding wardrobe?
I had 2 bridesmaids. We decided on the colour to suit the romantic, wintery feel of the wedding. My bridesmaids had not seen my dress until the wedding day so it was a lovely surprise on the morning.
What was your favourite part of the day?
My favourite part of the day was walking down the aisle and seeing every one that meant something to us in one room. It was the most special and unforgettable moment. The live music we had chosen was perfect to set the mood, it made us all very emotional.
